Something got me. I don’t know what it is, but I have hit all sorts of bodily breakdowns in the last 24 hours. I won’t regale you with the tale, however. Let’s just say that if you don’t see me tomorrow, it’s for the same reason you didn’t see me today.
I feel very overbooked today. By that I mean I’ve had a mild desire to read, but no compunction to pick up a book all day. The one I want to read, I don’t have yet. How singular does the brain get sometimes? Very, it seems. I also went through Amazon and Barnes & Noble online looking for something that would reach out and grab me in their “featured selections”. Nothing.
I can always count on Project Gutenberg. While I have downloaded 135 books this summer, reading only a handful so far, I should be able to find something that I feel comfortable reading tonight, and I did! It is Bram Stoker’s 1903 literary hit The Jewel of Seven Stars.
So now I am off to go back to bed to read, and cross my fingers that I am up to making coherent decisions tomorrow.
(Do you like the new header, by the way?)
